We had the OU Football Banquet last night. It was really nice. Also, coming from my football banquet experiences, this one was SO much faster! Instead of having all of the coaches come up and talk about players, etc., they just roll a highlight video with the award winners as they come up to the front, get a pic with their position coach, and take their award. It was great!
All of the Big XII Championship trophies were on display at the front. Makenna took a picture with this year's trophy.
Sam's Heisman trophy was front and center. It is so neat to be a part of such a fun year. Makenna was a little jealous because one of the other coach's sons got to sit next to Sam at the next table. Makenna noticed right away.
It was a great night. Both kids were so well-behaved. As we were leaving one of the players asked me if Makenna was my "little momma." I said yes, and he said, "I can tell." :) He knew Makenna from Mark taking her up to the school. Of course, he has no idea that I have always called her the "little momma."
The best thing about the football banquet and the end of football season is more Daddy time!
