Well, Mark and I took Makenna to her very first live performance of the Nutracker. It was also her first time to see a live ballet performance. She was absolutely Mesmerized by it. She has a Barbie Nutcracker movie that she likes to watch, so she knew the storyline. She asked me the next day when we could go back and see it again.
Here she is dancing with the Nutcracker "like Clara does." This is a special Nutcracker that my Uncle Gary brought back from Germany years ago. Makenna was pretty frustrated that she couldn't hold her arabesque long enough for me to take her picture. She was so funny!
When we got home, she wanted to dance like the SugarPlum Fairy. I got out my Nutcracker CD. I would peek in at her every so often, and she would be acting parts out to the music, right on cue! It was amazing!
We got to go to Cooper's play-off game with Bop. We had so much fun. They should have won the game. Go Coogs! Of course, Makenna made friends with the "little girl cheerleader" right away.
A true Coach's Kid! She knows exactly how to use the binoculars!
Ready to Cheer on the Coogs!
Bop and Ryan joined us for the MacArthur playoff game. We had a great time, .... for a while.... It was pretty neat that they let us down into the Gopher Bowl, down onto the field before the game. We got to watch warm-ups right up close. I learned from my Meme-- it never hurts to ask!
