"What You See is What You Get, and You Aint Seen Nothin' Yet"

Game 2 for the Sooners....We have another one in the win column! Cincinnati was a good team.

ODE TO PAPA
I put these navy socks on Micah, and all day I just kept thinking that they reminded me of something. I couldn't pin what it was. Then, it came to me like a flash.... I added the fisherman sandles, and it was the perfect moment for an ODE TO PAPA.

My Papa
Big Strong Arms
Gentle Eyes that Glisten with a Quick Wit
For Missy, Ryno, and T
There is no Other Papa
Like Our Papa
Always there, Like a Sturdy Oak
Never Swaying, Standing Strong
Big Strong Arms
My Papa

SOCCER

Makenna's First Soccer Game was lots of fun. This is a picture of Jake's dad trying to talk these two into going on the field. They said that their legs were tired. They just wanted to sit together. Jake's dad says Jake was too distracted by the girl that Jake tells everyone that he is going to marry! ha! So much for thinking co-ed soccer at four would be safe in the cooties zone!

Here is Chapman's dad "helping" Jake and Makenna run down the field. I tell you..... if Mark were there, he would have been so frustrated! He saw the pictures on the blog from the practice last week and gave Makenna a ten minute pep talk on running with her arms moving, always trying hard, etc. It was so funny! You should have seen how Serious he was!

They tried to put the girls on the field at the same time, but the coaches quickly realized that this might not be the best idea.... Bella and Makenna were giggling and hugging and holding hands. It was so cute! (I'm sure the competitive people reading this are rolling their eyes!)

Here are the four buddies at the end of the game, giving fives to the other team. We did win by a handful of goals, by the way.
