Saturday we headed north a few miles to Oklahoma City for their annual Arts Festival. We had SO much fun! They had lots of art and artists, as well as tents for the kids where they could work on different art projects. Makenna made a mask, spirit stick, and mosaic. She absolutely LOVED everything about it all, including watching the "Princess Jasmine" dancers and taking as long as she wanted to work on all of her projects.
They called this the caterpillar. The kids could each tie their own piece of fabric to it. Makenna picked a pink strip of fabric, and she chose to drape hers instead of tieing it.We also toured the Jungle part of the botanical gardens while we were there for the arts festival. Makenna said, "This is a jungle. Where are the tigers?"

One of the highlights of the day was when Makenna had the chance to pick out a piece of pottery and paint it. She was so careful with her painting. After she was finished, they put it in the kiln. We picked it up later in the day.

Makenna and her new friend from church, Elaina, went bowling last week. They had tons of fun. Elaina finished the match on the injured reserve list after a slippery bowling shoe incident. The moms saved the day, though, with pizza and Sprite!
