I love this picture because there is no better capture of the Smith family's excitement about the Spring Game. I was looking for Makenna two hours before the start of the game and finally found her in the car, strapped into her carseat, ready to go. I should have known after she told me several times that she was ready to go. She wasn't kidding around. Leave it to Bop's grandchild to want to get to a game two hours early. ha! ha!

Pictures of the Crowd... about 23,000 showed up. We were told that up to 50,000 have been known to attend the Spring Game here. 23,000 was pretty impressive; although I pointed out that Abilene, back in the day, brought out almost that many for the AHS/CHS game. (ok-- I think like 19,000 :) )

The Life of a Coach's Kid....
This is a pic of all of the coaches' kids waiting for their dads to motion them onto the field after the game. The moms told them to wait behind the white line. Makenna heard that and stepped right up.
Lots of celebrities, mostly OU alum athletes, attended the game. Toby Keith stood right in front of the coaches' wives for a while. I tried to get Makenna to pose for a picture so that I wouldn't look like a nerd in front of Carol Stoops and the rest of the wives for taking blog pictures of the celebrities, but, alas, the one time Makenna didn't want to pose for a picture.... ha! I just try to do my best to create a blog that fully captures any event. :)
