Birthday Parties!

We had a terrific weekend. It started with the Fort Worth Paschal play-off game vs. Odessa Permian on Friday night. We were so excited to see our friend Stephen Smith, the head coach at Paschal, lead his team to victory. They won on Saturday, too, so Paschal will advance to the next round and will play El Paso Soccoro in Midland this coming weekend.

On Saturday, Mark set his alarm for 5:25 a.m. so that he could get to the field house bright and early to prepare for the first scrimmage of Spring football. Makenna and I went to Olivia's 2nd birthday party. It was lots of fun! She had a Curious George birthday party at her house with lots of bubbles and friends.

When Mark got home late that afternoon, we all headed to Keller for Rylan Smart's birthday party. He had a Diego party at the park. It was the coolest park ever! All of the coaches got to hang out, and their wives got to hang out. Everyone ended up hanging out at the park and letting the kids play until 7:30. It was super fun! Makenna found a kangeroo as she helped Diego, the rescue ranger, rescue the animals.

Saturday was fun, but the real excitement of the weekend happened on Sunday. God is so good! "The trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise and thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang: 'He is good; His love endures forever.'" 2 Chronicles 5:13 Mark and I are still in awe at the Awesome Power of Almighty God and his faithfulness in answering the prayers of those who turn their hearts toward him. If I haven't had a chance to share God's glory with you, I hope I can share the story with you soon.
