The Interview (oh, and Mom's day, too)

So, last week was pretty great. It was so exciting waiting for Mark to go to his interview on Friday. The big day finally arrived, and, I must say, my stud was looking quite studly. Mark arrived a little early at the administration building for the interview. Once there, he checked in with the secretary, who immediately showed Mark the Fort Worth Star Telegram article with the list of candidates. The interview lasted about an hour, where a panel of eight took turns asking Mark questions. As you can see from the picture, Mark took time to dance with Belle right before the interview.
Saturday, Makenna and I went to the scrimmage at the stadium. Mark's defense looked great! We had a really nice breeze until right before the end of it. Makenna and I took our lawn chairs and snacks and just enjoyed being there.

Mother's Day was really nice. The night before, Ryan, Mark, Makenna, and I got to meet my Mom in downtown Fort Worth for dinner. The next morning, I woke up to beautiful flowers, two sweet cards from my two sweeties, and a kitchen towel that Makenna had created at school with her fingerprints made into ladybugs. We had a great service on Sunday. Robert preached on honoring the Sabbath. It tied in nicely with Mother's Day, although that wasn't necessarily the intention. Our little family went to the brand new Uncle Julio's right after church. Those baby sopapillas are the best!! Later, Mark took us to a shoe store to get me some new work out shoes.

Here is Makenna working on the Mother's Day gifts for those special ladies in her life.

All in all, it was a great week and weekend.
