Dave & Buster's

After T's 1st Conference tournament game on Saturday, we all headed to Dave & Buster's. It was tons of fun. Deborah passed out game cards, and we all got to play basketball and skeeball to our heart's content. Mark dominated the basketball game, that is, until Meme decided to show off her skills. I must say, to have played in the first Girls' Texas State Basketball Championship game ever, I don't know how they came in second with Meme as the starting point guard and team captain. She was ON FIRE at Dave & Busters and really had everyone amazed with her shooting style. I can only imagine how awesome her skills were just a few short years ago when she almost brought home the title.

Megan dominated at Dance Party Dance-Off. Honestly, she is a real pro. I dominated at the horse racing game. After winning it three times in a row, I stopped playing. After all, there were some parents of kids playing that were giving me some real looks. I'm sorry I had to dominate and take all of the tickets. My baby needed a new pair of shoes! (or a Hello Kitty backpack) (oh, and Mark got the little fart machine that Taylor used the next day on one of the coaches in the dugout).

We all had a great time, that is, until Taylor decided to crank an air hockey puck at about 900 miles an hour right at my left index finger that was gingerly poised right on the inside of the rink, smashing it and peenching it until it swelled up the size of one of those big black olives like used to be in Olive Garden salads when they first came to Abilene. My finger throbbed. It hurt worse than childbirth. Mark was so oblivious that he didn't even know I was hurt until Deborah had gotten ice for my finger, tylenol, and water to take it. My knight in shining armour was shooting fighter jets and advancing several levels while I was in intense pain, writhing on the game floor. My finger, though now looking quite normal, is still extremely sensitive. Please send get well presents to our new address.
